Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne (real name - John Michael Osbourne, English John Michael Osbourne; born December 3, 1948, Marston Green, Birmingham) - British rock singer, musician, one of the founders and member of the Black Sabbath group, which had a significant impact on the emergence of such musical styles like hard rock and heavy metal. The success of his career and popularity earned him the unofficial title of "The Godfather of Heavy Metal".

One of the very first records of the Black Sabbath group - "Paranoid" won the first lines in the American and European charts, giving the group worldwide fame.

After leaving Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne began his solo career. In 1980, the British solo disc "Blizzard of Ozz" was released, which captivated rock lovers. Ozzy's musical biography has gained a new round of popularity. One of the compositions of this collection - "Crazy Train", went down in the history of rock music as a visiting card of the artist.

As of December 2010, more than 100 million records with his participation have been sold in the world. As a member of Black Sabbath, Osbourne is inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is inducted into the British Music Hall of Fame both as a member of the band and as a solo artist. A star bearing Osbourne's name is on the Birmingham Walk of Stars and on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2014, he received the MTV Europe Music Awards in the Global Icon nomination. In the early 2000s, he took part in the reality show The Osbournes about his life on MTV.

Osbourne's solo albums Blizzard of Ozz and No More Tears have been certified 4x platinum in the US.
